چکیده
Absrnct In this paper we present experimental rtsults of autonomous walking experiments with the Ambler, a six-legged robot configured for autonomous traversal of Mars-like terrain. We describe the d t s in terns of terrain traversed, number of steps taken, distance travelled, Vial duration, and walking spced.

Ambler : Performance of a Six - Legged Planetary Rover ?
In this paper we quantify several performance metrics for the Ambler, a six-legged robot configured for autonomous traversal of Mars-like terrain. We present power consumption measures for walking on sandy terrain and for vertical lifts at different velocities. We document the performance of a novel dead-reckoning approach, and analyze its accuracy. We describe the results of autonomous walking...

متن کاملConcurrent Planning and Execution for a Walking Robot
The Planetary Rover project is developing the Ambler, a novel legged robot, and an autonomous software system for walking the Ambler over rough terrain. As part of the project, we have developed a system that integrates perception, planning, and rea-ame control to navigate a single leg of the robot through complex obstacle courses. The system is integrated using the Task Control Architecture (T...
متن کاملSimulation of the Hexapod Robot Ptinto Walking on Irregular Surfaces
In this article we present our recent work on the simulation of a hexapod robot called PTinto. This robot is a prototype that has been designed to test the six legs locomotion system in the surrounding areas of the Tinto River (Huelva-Spain), which scientists have considered that could potentially have many similarities to the Mars surface. This kind of robots represents a great advance in the ...
